And the bad transit news in the Bush budget

Dubya's budget cuts $493 million from Amtrak's operating funds. That's a 38% reduction and it is "jeopardizing Amtrak's ability to serve it's Northeastern passenger lines," according to an analysis by Hillary Clinton's staff.
