A new tunnel under the Hudson

Not too much of a surprise, but the senators of New York and New Jersey all came out in support of the $6 billion Trans-Hudson Express Tunnel Project, that would connect New Jersey Transit and 34th Street. The tunnel could be open as early as 2015.

The four sent a letter today to Norman Mineta, secretary of transportation asking for his support. No response yet from DOT.
