Hello there-
I wonder why there are no subway on STATEN ISLAND.
I once went to THE BIG APPLE back in 1984-85,and noticed that
i couldnt get to the island by subway,i wonder why.
And i guess there will never be a subway to STATEN ISLAND.
It could easily be don next to the bridge from BROOKLYN and
then back,or what.
Is it because the island is too small.!!
Best regards from a BIG APPLE fan.!!

As an MTA rider, I have had to deal with delays upon delays, garbage and filth and heat (non of which are acceptable). But last night, beyond the regular annoyances that expected and unfortunately accepted, I WAS DISGUSTED by the lateness and lack of information regarding the Q train. I was trying to head back to the Newkirk Ave. stop in Brooklyn, and my ordeal started when I had to wait over 30mins for a Brooklyn bound Q train at Union Square. To further my annoyance, I stopped at Pacific Street and we have to transfer over to catch the Brooklyn bound Q. Coming down the stairs the area for the Coney Island bound Q train, I was struck by the gross number of stranded passengers. Hundreds of people (I have a picture to prove it), were standing, sitting in anger and HEAT, waiting on the train. Another 40 mins later, a Q train stops on the Manhattan bound track, lets off people, and everyone flummoxed at what is going on waits for some information. We are told not to get on this train, it will be coming right back for us to get on (further raising the anger level). The train returns 10 mins later and we are packed literally like sardines. To further make it worse, between Atlantic Ave. and Prospect Park, the train moves like a snail and stops several times in the tunnel. So, TWO HOURS LATER I finally reached home.

UNACCEPTABLE. I am SO disgusted by the service and lack of information. A Friday night in New York and trains are running so grossly infrequently? ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE! This is the type of service that is giving to the people who have to deal with the rising costs of using the MTA system? The MTA wants to further raise the price and this is the service you are providing for people? Is the MTA CRAZY??? DISGUSTED, ANGRY AND FED UP!
