He has also served as City Hall reporter and as Deputy Long Island editor for politics.
Before coming to Newsday, Janison worked as a reporter for the Staten Island Advance, Albany Times Union and New York Post.

I wept because I had no shoes, and then I met a man who had no feet.
Many administrators and union leaders have taken to speaking out against Gov Patterson`s proposed tax cap. It would seem to me a more responsible approach would be to offer suggestions on how to curtail the insane spending and tax increases that we on long island have had to endure. I am tired of hearing what does not work as opossed to what can be done.
