I agree wholeheartedly! Early proper socialization is crucial to your dog living up to his full potential as a good pet. Now we just need to get our local vets on board. So many vets are telling their clients that it's not safe to take the puppy out! Far be it for me to contradict the vet, although I do. But when faced with the decision of who to believe, the clients always go with the vet and sequester the pup. Then later on they wonder why they have the dog from hell. Too bad I can't say "I told you so!"

My dogs all had a good 4th of July. Not one firecracker was set off in my neighborhood and the only noise was late, boom, boom at the Fairgrounds when they had the fireworks display. I turned the TV up and the dogs were fine, me too.

Mine were fine also Rooby although I think we had WWIII on my block - I don't know how people can afford them but they had some big ones that go way up and boom and sprinkle all kinds of pretty colors ----- most go to Wyoming and buy them and bring them back but they sure are loud ---- I had the tv up loud and the dogs don't seem to be too frightened if I am around. I will throw in a flashlight and a porta potty for those nights when she is out in the woods and there is no bathroom around. Oh, and lets not forget a large heavy duty spray for those killer insects, crawling up her pants leg and drawing blood...

So how many flyers do you need, and what happened at the airport was not our fault so why were we blamed throughout the whole search, we are not the ones who chased her in a truck and scared her, still waiting to see how many flyers you need, I have assortded sizes and colors plus the sleeves to put them in in case it rains while you are out posting. Bring plenty of water, a body dehydrates quickly in this heat..

Oh my goodness, how could I forget. Have to teach you how to set up the cameras so you can go and monitor them. Might be a good idea to get one of those pepper spray devises, never know who you are going to meet. And the feeding stations too, they always have sales on those large bags and they won't take up too much room in your trunk, not with the posters, flyers, tape, staples, bottles of fresh water, etc. that is. At least your lucky you won't have to carry that stinkly bait in your hot car, now that would have been a odor that would have had your friends and family begging to take a ride in your car.

When you go food shopping just put your groceries in the back seat, works out just fine.. No problem, you will adjust to the life style changes quickly enough..

Kathy I forgot about bringing water, remember to lug along some food and bowls to put it in, better bring a shopping cart to haul all your supplies, water and food, make sure it folds up so you can put it in your trunk to use the next night. Don't forget a leash and squeaky toys, seems like alot of stuf to bring but you can do it, you sound like a real trooper, good luck.

Yes, a leash is very important because when Vivi comes up to you, you need to be able to secure her when you bring her to a vet for treatment. Don't worry about the phone calls in the middle of the night either when we get a sighting. Just keep some cloths within reach and off you go, microwaves are great for warming up the dinner you had to leave to run out.

And don't forget to set your alarm for 3 AM so you can pull the card out of the camera and replenish the food at the feeding station BEFORE you go to work. I hope you aren't afraid of stray dog packs and raccoons. If you are,oh well. You'll get used to it.And once winter hits.we will give you pointers on how to unstick frozen camera locks and the best way not to slip and slide down the hills after you walk a half a mile from your car carrying a big bag of dog food and a gallon of water.

She is going to have sooo much fun, I am glad we are able to help her. Its nice to help people that really want to be part of a team. Wish we had somone to tell us what to do when we first started out, she is very lucky, isn't she? She doesn't have to do things the hard way by trial and error. Remember those 40 lb. bags of sand we had to carry around for all those feeding stations we set up in the very beginning. Boy she lucked out on that one..

I remember the scrapes and cuts and long, hard walks looking for Vivi.
