Isabella, the mange-ravaged puppy who was rescued in New Orleans around the time of Hurricane Katrina's one-year anniversary this summer, continues to mend. Here is a recent photos of this sweet young puppy (left).
Compare that to what she looked like soon after she was rescued in August:

Me too, Pam, me too!
Isn't it amazing what one person's love and rescue did for this poor baby. Hug and kisses for this sweet man that rescued her too!!!!
Thanks Sedona for keeping in touch and getting these pictures for Denise to share with us too. We need all the good news we can get lately!
Yay Isabella! She looks great. This just made my afternoon.
I posted this on one of the other posts. Joey has been found! He's safe and sound! I thought we could all use the good news of one pup found. Isabella looks great! Miracles do happen.
Thanks Susan for some good news! Now, waiting for more for this weekend! I'm not greedy!
How wonderful Isabella looks. And so happy Joey was found. Please keep us updated on him and Isabella. Hopefully, we'll hear good news about Vivi SOON!!
Have followed Vivi's saga from the beginning, but haven't posted in a long time. Spent last night catching up on several weeks of blog entries and signed as many petitions as I saw. I didn't see one for the poor little Boxer puppy by the name of Lady (in SC). I won't repeat the details, but the posting dates back to around Oct. 6. If anyone has an update on any way to help or take action on this case, feel free to e-mail me or post a response.
On a happier note, am delighted to learn that Elmer returned to his family in Ohio and that Joey was found. Isabella looks vastly improved. My heart goes out to those who have lost their beloved fur babies in recent months and to those whose dear ones are coping with illnesses and injuries. And as always, a standing ovation to the tireless and dedicated people working hard to locate Vivi.
Three cheers for Isabella... and tons more for her rescuers and care givers!!!!! She looks awesome!!
So amazing what medical care and love have done to help this little girl! Bless you little girl and all your caregivers...sending you a hug long distance, Isabella!
She deserves a loving forever home and I know she will find it.
I e-mailed Anne Bell at the Southern Animal Foundation two weeks ago, and she told me that Isabella may have a home in New York. I'm so glad to hear a happy animal story, and I wish Isabella and her new parents the best.
Oh what good news indeed for little Isabella. Thank you Martha.
