Search coordinator Bonnie Folz brings us up to speed:
<<Vivi Update 10/10/06
Just when things seem to have quieted down, as far as calls coming in, other than the usual sick and nasty crank calls Rosa receives, the Vivi hotline received a handful of calls this past week of a dog spotted wandering in the neighborhood of Rego Park in Queens.
Rego Park is a bit north east of Forest Park and just west of Flushing Meadow Park. Definitely an area that Vivi could be in, but unfortunately, we have been unable to actually get what we consider “confirmed” info that it was Vivi. We do know there IS a dog wandering around in that area -- just can’t say if it’s the dog we’re looking for.
A call came in this afternoon from a woman that said she saw Vivi as she was walking out of her house. The dog barked at her and wandered off. Calls were made alerting the volunteers immediately and within a half-hour, they were on the scene. Turns out the dog this woman saw was a male Chihuahua, white with a brown spot on his back. From the info gathered at the scene, neighborhood kids have been feeding him for the past four days, and they think a woman who lives on the block no longer wanted the dog and just opened her front door and let it go. It sickens us so to know people can be so cruel, as there are many places this dog could have been taken if he was no longer wanted.
Gail and Kathy rescued the dog from the streets and he is being fostered overnight. I phoned Bobbi from Bobbi and The Strays, and she put Kathy and Gail in touch with BARC, a no-kill shelter in Brooklyn. BARC will give him the proper health screening, have him neutered and place him up for adoption when he’s ready so a forever home can be found.
This is the third dog in two weeks that has been rescued by the Vivi volunteers.
The first dog was seen by Rosa, a male lab mix puppy, about 7 months old, eating chicken bones from a garbage bag. Rosa found who this playful pup belonged to and on further questioning, the woman who owned him said she keeps him in a wire crate in the yard while she’s at work, 10 hours or so a day, with no cover over it and his food and water dishes set outside the crate. Apparently, she was given the dog but really doesn’t have enough time for him.
Rosa explained, very nicely, that this was unfair for the dog and he needed to be in a home that would be able to give him the time he needs. Rosa offered to take the pup right then, but the woman said no. Rosa asked that she think about it and if she decided to give the dog up, Rosa would come and take him.
Well, the woman called on Friday afternoon, and Rosa and Tina made the trip to the woman’s house and got the dog. Not having anyplace to take the dog but at least rescuing him from that situation, Rosa made some calls to see who could take the dog or foster him till a home is found. Bobbi currently does not have any room at her shelter. She is in dire need of a new building, but has not been successful in finding one yet.
Barbara Jean agreed to foster him till he can be placed at a no-kill shelter or get him a forever home. Barbara Jean and Rosa brought him to my training classes Monday night and he does seem to be very cute and responsive. He’ll make someone a nice pet and just needs basic training. If anyone is interested in the lab mix of Chihuahua, please contact me at (917) 626-1374 or Pawsativebf@aol.com. A home check will need to be done before these guys get placed.
Here’s the second dog’s story. Rosa and Tina were on their way to dinner Saturday night after walking the lab mix at Barbara Jean’s house and Rosa spotted a small black dog run into the street. They made a U-turn and went back to check it out and try to catch him so he wouldn’t get hit by a car. The dog was very scared and ran under a car parked in a driveway. They rang the bell and found that the owner of the dog never knew he got out! She was so very thankful that Rosa and Tina found her baby, she invited them back for coffee.
I’ve lost count of how many animals have been rescued during the search for Vivi. It seems so bittersweet that because of Vivi being lost, so many have been saved.
I’m still working on getting tracking dogs back to confirm the Rego Park sightings and to then cover all of the other locations we feel Vivi may be. We want to leave no stone unturned. If Vivi had puppies on schedule, and she’s been laying low because of it, the puppies would soon be seen as well since they’d be of age to start wandering.
Emails, faxes and letters still get sent from the out-of-town volunteers. A letter was sent to the local shelters asking their staff to help with the search if possible.
Volunteers will continue to canvas the Rego Park area and fliers and posters are being put up as well.
Ya never know...
Thanks for everyone’s help from near and far.
Keeping the faith.

Kathleen - sounds like that little chihuahua is available!!! Go get your Pan
Thanks Kathy - I just spoke to Bonnie, and I believe the Chihuahua may have a home in line already. He may have been a little snappy with my Tinkerbell - not sure.
But the good news is that Bonnie has a friend looking for a home for a sweet little Papillion (sp?). It was love when I saw Pixie's picture. Bonnie is going to get me in touch with the owners and see if we can make this work out.
My problem is that Amanda will not be in New York until about the first week in December. I will either have to fly this baby to me (not my best wish although Amanda assured me that Delta Dash was not in the cargo and she felt would be safe for the baby) or try to find a foster home for Pixie until I can get her to Memphis.
I thought maybe I could pay Bobbie and The Strays to hold her for me, but looks like they are full. Any suggestions out there. HELP!
Well Kathleen - I don't see where anthing other than you and Tink taking a road trip to NYC and visit the NYFoot Soldiers to pick up this lucky dog.
Papillions are great dogs. They are one those big dogs in a small package, very smart, very tractable. They are excellent in agility and obedience competitions. They look like little puff balls but are actually quite athletic. Cute too of course. Papillion means butterfly in French and if you see a picture of their heads you can see why they got called that.
May end up doing that, Kathy in Colorado. I don't think I can wait until December to adopt her. I am so excited about her too. If I can drive 17 hours to go see my grandkids, I guess I can manage New York. Look out New York, here comes the slow Southern woman possibly!
Maybe Tinkerbell and I can do a bit of "tracking" for Vivi while we are there. If Vivi has any good-smelling food, Tink would find her (hee, hee). Of course, she might attack a few hot dog vendors and the Weenie ladies along the way too. I can see Tink, Darlene, Debbie, Monica and Lois T sitting there in the park now eating hot dogs and drinking cool beer. How could Vivi resist joining them!
That would be a beautiful sight to see.
OTIS UPDATE FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO MISSED IT! YAHOO!
"Wayne Dean, abuser of Otis was found competent enough to stand trial. On November 14, he has a pre-trial hearing which will set the trial date.
The prosecutor said she was amazed at the number of petitions and letters and to keep them coming.
Since Dean has been in jail this whole time, fellow prisoners broke his jaw and his ribs."

Kathleen - that would be the best sight any of us could dream up. Sure needed that laugh today.

Kathleen - I think you should do it - what a road trip
I don't want to be a downer here, but I'm looking out the front window where I work and IT'S SNOWING!!!!???!!! Oh, how I hope and pray they can find Vivi before winter really sets in!!
Plane or helicopter just slammed into apartment building in Manhatten. Prayers for everyone in NYC.
I saw snow too Pam! It didn't last very long but it was long enough for me! Come on home Vivi!
Lois, please send me some of your weather. I'm frying here.
HI, Terri
I am watching it now. I am praying everyone is alright---They do not think it is terror related. But NORAD is in the air. I am sure everyone in NYC is having horrid memories We are here for you
Just called my father who lives a couple of blocks away -- said it's chaotic there. He heard the explosion from his place. Appears that it was not terror-related.
Just was reported on the radio that the plane was piloted by one of the pitchers for the Yankees. They are reporting 4 people dead now.
Hope everyone we know there is okay and their families. Prayers are with you guys!
Love Kathleen and Tinkerbell
Yankee pitcher's name was Cory Lidle and he has died also.
Lois, wb tootsie! Hope you feel better! (0:
Okay, another disappointment. Bonnie tried very hard to get Pixie for me, but looks like another person beat us to Pixie (and such a cutie too).
If anyone hears of a sweet little Chihuahua, JRT, or smaller breed needing a home, please keep Tinkerbell and I in mind.
Sharon sent me one baby which I may call about and check out right here in Memphis. I think Tinkerbell needs a playmate when her Mommy is at work - those two cats are just plain boring to her!
Thanks everyone for your hopes and dreams for our "one dog" household. Maybe soon, just maybe soon.
Kathleen, I just sent you pictures of two rat terriers from down your way in a shelter. They are similer to my Roxie (TFT) but a little bigger. I hope you find a lovely pup and playmate for your Tinkerbell!
Thanks Mila. I'll check them out. I have been sitting here looking at the rescues before leaving work, and wondering what to do next. I'm going to hold on a while and see what the foot soldiers find along the way though I think.
Look at petfinders there are thousands of sheltered dogs looking for homes you really dont need to do this through the vivi cause because there are so many out there.
http://www.petfinder.com/
There are also rescue organizations for practically every breed you can think of run by the breed clubs. And many, sometimes most, dogs in shelters are purebred or apparent purebreds.
Yes, good point and if you've decided you want to adopt another chi or other small breed they are ther NOW on petfinders and their time may be limited
I think if she adopts another dog, it should be a male. Sometimes females can be snotty little girls with other girls. Sometimes they fight and usually males don't fight with females. I'd check that out.
"neighborhood kids have been feeding him for the past four days, and they think a woman who lives on the block no longer wanted the dog and just opened her front door and let it go"
******************************
Was this woman asked about the dog and did she confirm that he was hers and she does not want the dog anymore?
From his description of being severely underweight, it sounds like he has been out a lot longer than 4 days (unless he was kept inside and starved).
If not, I find this confusing since we are on a quest to find Vivi and wouldn't we be devastated if someone found her and didn't try to find her true owners first before adopting her out?
Even if he is not this woman's dog and he's just a lost soul, that doesn't mean he was abandoned and nobody is looking for him.
Look at Vivi! She's been out on her own a long time and God knows what shape she is in and she has got to be the most looked for dog in NY! She's not still out there because her owners (and the rest of us) don't care!
This could be someone's beloved pet who was lost. I don't think it's fair to just assume he's been abandoned on the speculation of children and not even look for his owner. It would not be right if someone did that to Vivi.
Regards,
Tara
Tara,
I agree with you totally. I'd die if one of my dogs got out and someone assumed she was abandoned and gave her to someone.
As a matter of fact, that happened near my daughter. Some jerk "found" a German Shepherd and just kept him. The dog had a scarf around his neck and was well kept, he belonged to someone. My daughter got on their case!
Chip your babies, friends. A super tech that works for my vet lost her Brittany Spaniel 4 weeks ago. Somebody alerted her that her dog was living with a nearby neighbor. She took pictures, and toys, and called the dog who very excited to see her. The man said it was too bad, the dog was his now. She called the police, and animal control. They asked if he was microchipped- he was. They went to the house and asked to scan him, and it was the chip that forced the man to give her dog back.
Lord, as this day ends,
soul and body, I am tired.
And all I have done:
is it worthwhile?
I need you, Lord,
where can I turn, except to you?
(Fr. Victor Hoagland, CP)
O Lord, my heart is not proud, nor are my eyes haughty;
I busy not myself with great things too sublime for me.
Nay rather, I have stilled and quieted my soul like a weaned child.
Like a weaned child on its mother's lap,
so is my soul within me.
O Israel, hope in the Lord,
both now and forever. Psalm 131
Creator Father, Our days are long and a bit discouraging because we want Vivi home with Jil before the snow returns. We are also in the path of many animals who need homes, homes that we can't always personally give them. But we will try to find them a home in Your name, and in the name of Your always loving and compassionate Son.Help us to do what you would have us do, and help us to do what we can through Your strength. Give us peace as You give us at rest. In confidence we lift the following people and animals to Your care...

Show them to the volunteer of Your choice so that they may return to their earthly families. Surprise us by sending Vivi home to a volunteer (BJ, Debbie, Darlene,Diane, Gail, Monica, Debbie?)
Many of us also have animals which need Your healing touch, Great Physician we lift to you for your healing touch:Scout,Ezme,Clarus,Skeeter,Star,Doogie, Prince the Sheltie, CJ, Dante, Felice, Max, Little McGee, Murphy, Mylie, Barbaro, Gunner, Linus, Kiva, Ellie,(restore all that had to be taken), Morgan, Little Andi, Nicki, Dude, Tucker, Brandy, Lexie, Isabella, Twin Kittens, Bowen, Pie Bird,Wanda and Heather.Enfold all of us in Your healing embrace.
We thank you for healing Tinkerbell, Maureen and Andi, and Zipper!! Thank You for McGee's weight gain.

We lift up the following people in need of Your healing:Renee, Pam,Millicent,Jacque, JL, Lance, Madison, Kathleen's Mom Mary,Chris, Abby and Kathleen.
God of Power, stand behind Tammie and Doogie, Duke and Denise, and Otis' followers, as they have stood behind these animals, until justice is done.Thank you so much for helping us find a good home for Kristy and help us to find a good home for Tashia, Duke, and little Chi.Thanks for Bobbie's new home.
Be with all who mourn tonight. Greet all, human and animal alike, who will make the journey to Paradise this night. Reward our faithful animal companions who have gone ahead. Let all who are homeless know Your love, and ours, too.
Send your angels and saints to work with Vivi's angels. These NYC volunteers serve as Your compassionate presence on earth. Don't let them become discouraged. Let them know that prayer wise "we've got their back"!
Let our faith grow as a result of this experience! Restore as we sleep, Heavenly Father, as we turn over the night watch to you! YOU ARE IN CHARGE! AMEN!

Wow sharon, I had no idea how good a micro chip was. I thought it was just in case they got lost, never thought about someone finding the dog and keeping it. Mine aren't chipped
You're right, Sharon. My dog is chipped and I had the vet scan her to make sure the chip didn't move and was still working.
It's raining very hard in CT. I hope Vivi is in a warm dry spot tonight. I get so worried about her, but I feel encouraged by the calls coming in about sightings. It sure is like a roller coaster ride.
Thanks everyone. I guess I am waiting for that door to open to a special little fur baby like Tinkerbell. I actually purchased Tinkerbell at a flea market in Memphis.
I went to purchase a Chihuahua for a good friend's daughter. She had recently come to live with her Dad after a rather rough life with the Mom (a real loser). I knew Brittany needed a dear friend, and she had fallen in love with this little dog. So on Sunday, Ann and I went in search of this dog at the flea market.
When I found Cheech, his sister was Tinkerbell. I took one look, and it was instant love. I knew I could not leave without both these little dogs. So Brittany and I both got our little dogs for Valentine's Day.
Ruby, you are probably right about the male too. Tinkerbell loved having Cheech (a male, of course) live with us for a while. We were both so sad when he left. I think a male would be better too.
When the time is right, God will bring this new little fur baby into our lives. He sure brought Tinkerbell into mine, and I have been in love and smiling since that time with my little Tinkerbell (the pillow hog). She was the best flea market find ever!
Psalm 27:14

When you lift your faith up to the throne of God, you are opening the doors of Heaven to be poured out upon the earth. Ann Whitehead
Kathleen-
Consider contacting Italian Greyhound Rescue in your area- I used to show them before whippets and they're wonderful little toy size Vivis. I agree a male would be best although he might want to mark his territory at first...hugs to Tink

Keeping the faith for VIVI in TX
Hi everyone - just wanted to share this little bit of news - on this day, 5 years ago, I got my very first greyhound - Poppy. My whole world changed for the better when she entered my life and because of her, my greyhound family has grown to a total of 4 but Baylee thinks she is one also so I should say 5. I know we all have our favorites, but I have become obsessed with greyhounds - I just can't get enough. Happy Gotcha Day Poppy
Now - Vivi: let this be your Gotcha Day too.
Kathy - That is such a sweet story. Those are five very, very lucky fur babies to have you for a Mommy. Have a good day and "Yes, Lord, let this be Gotcha Day for Vivi too!"
Kathy - I like your "Gotcha Day" idea. Yes indeed, let this be Vivi's "Gotcha Day"!!!
Kathy - I hope you do not mind. I love that name Poppy - so cute. My new fur baby will have that name if he is a boy I think. Just adorable name.
Kathleen - I do not mind at all - when I first got Poppy, I pictured her in a field of orange poppys and thought - I have to get some and plant them so I can take that picture. Well, I got some poppys, planted them, and a little later I found Poppy in the flowerbed alright - with the poppys dug up. Guess she doesn't like poppys.
The story behind her name is that when her litter was whelped, the breeders father had come to visit and help out. I guess Poppy was the one pup that would follow him around everywhere. Because of that, Lori let her dad name the puppy so she became lr's Poppys Pride. She is now my pride - AND JOY - she is just the sweetest little girl - along with her half sister, Razzmatazz and their cousin Bud - who I got to help whelp and name. She and Razz are very petite greyhounds, sometimes getting questioned if they are whippets because of their size. The three of them got all the sweetness apparently because their new sister Stella is a stinker.
Oops - I guess the story above doesn't make much sense without me telling you that Lori's dads name was Poppy which is why he named her Poppys Pride.
I also had a puppy named Poppy once. When we used to raise Siberian Huskies, one of the puppies in a litter was very sick It was the runt of the litter and wasn't getting nutrition. I got some supplements from the vet and bottle fed it for several weeks. While I was taking care of it, we kept it in the kitchen. Every morning when I got up and went out in the kitchen, the first thing I saw was his little face popping up out of his bed every morning to greet me. Eventually, he started to grow and became a big boy and went to live out on a farm. Needless to say, I missed his little face greeting me every morning.
that's such a neat story Pam
I know this probably will sound "corny," but I just have to say it again.
The love for animals I see over and over on this blog just "sweeps me away." My prayer every night is that all animals and children (and adults too) could know this love we all feel for these little creatures.
Sometimes I see such sad cases in our work with HIV children who do not even have a fraction of the love and care my two sons had growing up, and some not even the love and care that my two cats and Tinkerbell have. It can be heart-breaking at times. But then I see that love on this blog and in our nurse practitioners, doctors, etc. that take care of these children - and my faith is renewed. It is this renewal that I live for each day in my life. We have actually had some children tell us the best thing that happened to them was getting HIV because of the love and support they get from our group at St. Jude. I am very proud of the people I work with. They treat ALL of these patients with such love and respect that it just "blows me away sometimes." Yet I am equally proud of the people I have met on this blog for their work to change the world too.
I have worked at St. Jude for 27 years, and I have been a part of this blog for several months now, and I can say they have both been such rewarding experiences. Thank you for sharing your love with me, my friends, my sweet little critters, and my family. May God bless all of you as we make a difference for these sweet little animals who have no voice of their own.
Kathleen - what you say is true - it is so hard in this world and just being with people that are like us makes it so much nicer. I read where Madonna went to Africa to adopt a little boy who has a dad and family but no mother and was in an orphanage. What a shame that she and people like her and Angelina can't find it in their hearts to adopt a child from the US that needs help. Granted those overseas need help too but there are plenty in our own back yards that need help. That is why I decided not to adopt a Lebanon kitty - there will be plenty of people wanting the celebritism of a lebanon dog or cat just like it was with the Katrina ones - I have seen so many lonely little faces while visiting the shelters looking for Bowdee that I realized that when the time comes, that is where I will get a kitty - not one that has celebrity tied to it.
Just saw this ----- see Kathleen - Tennessee isn't that far from NYC - you could take Tink on a road trip::::))))
JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. - A pet Amazon parrot who flew away from his owner in Johnson City has been found in Long Island, N.Y. Owner Kim Kendrick lost her 47-year-old parrot named Buzzy nearly two months ago while she was walking outside with him.
Kathy, when the time is right our little fur babies will come to us. We will know they are the right ones in our heart. I did with Tinkerbell.
I have been talking to Diane T and the Chihuahua is looking more like a possible again. We will see how things go. If it is meant to be, it will all work out. I appreciate Diane's trust in me and wanting this little fella in my life.
A very nice person e-mailed me offering help through the "underground rescue" to get a little rescue to me. People are so nice and helpful - many in the background that we do not even know me too. Thank you out there KC.
Lisa E - I believe it was you that was mentioning the movie "Born Free" a few weeks ago and I said that I could never get through it without getting all emotional. Anyway, it's supposed to be on Turner Classic Movies this weekend. (I believe that's the channel.) I'm going to tape it. And then I'll watch it someday when I feel like torturing myself to see whether or not I'll cry again!!!My resolution is to make it through that movie without shedding a tear. I'll need lots of luck on that attempt!!
That is how I think also Kathleen - when the time is right, it happens.
I was going to participate in a GUR (Greyhound Underground Railroad) last weekend for a Borzoi but the little booger came into heat the day before her scheduled spay so it was cancelled for now. Such a good feeling to help these babies find their forever homes.
Kathy my Standard Poodle was named Summit's Ebony Poppy. SHe was named Poppy to put on her Veterinay records by the breeder. They named all the pups after flowers. I added the breeders Kennel name and Ebony when I registered her. She was called Ebony though.
I gave Duke a bath today and what a good boy he was. I forgot the pot to use for rinsing and I thought oh boy he's going to bolt. I told him to sit and stay and went to get the pot and he didn't bolt. He's such a sweetheart. The I took him and Maureen for a long walk to dry hi,. He was so excited on his way back feeling clean and all he wanted to play with Maureen. Well she's so aloof she let out some squaks of protest and was so surprised he sat immediatly and looked as if to say "what did I do?" Poor boy. So I released Maureen and we played a little before we came in. Then I had to wash his bed and clean up the bathroom and tub of all the hair. Now I remember why I always had Standard Poodles. lol
Gosh B-J what a nice foster mommy you are to Duke - he is so lucky that you took him in. Sure hope he finds someone as nice as you to love him forever. These little guys didn't do anything to deserve what they have gotten and only deserve the best of love and care - sure wish we didn't have to worry about people like the Arnolds and the Wayne Deans of the world.
Yes Kathy; I wish I could keep him myself but I can't. Just pray we don't get busted. My cousin (landlord ) would not be happy about this. I promised after Maureen I'd close my eyes. oops! I peeked.
ha ha ha - your cousin won't even cut you some slack B-J - geesh - if they say anything tell him/her they are seeing things - that big black doggie they THINK they see is just a figment of their imagination - LOL
My daughter has a little Orange breasted finch of some sort that she named POPPY..She also has a little canary with a funny nest looking head that she named
Toupee'...
Ruby: Mentioning toupee - a friend of mine has a cat that she named Howie after Howard Cosell because the markings on the top of his head looked like he had had a bad-lookiing toupee like Howard Cosell did.
Hah! slack; maybe enough rope to hang myself. Ruby they are called crested canaries. I adopted one that was called Moe. In fact he was the last canary I had since 1995 and I always had at least one canary. He was so perfect in every way and died when he was 2 and a half and I was so upset at his being so young I never got another onw until 2002 when we got a bunch of Yorkshire canaries in. I had always wanted one and couldn't resist Star. Today he jumped around and twittered quite a bit so he's almost better. Sill keep the prayers coming though. Still under heat and I am starting to wean him from it.
Today I had to apply to 3 jobs in my neighborhood and Duke was sleeping in the cage so I just closed the door on him and left because if I took him out first it was possible I would get some mud prints on me. No way to apply for a job you know. lol This is how good this dog is. The cage was Chillie's and is only 24 inches x20 x20 and a half high. He's about 50 lbs. He never made a fuss and possibly just slept the whole time which wasn't too long and why I thought he would be okay. He even stayed in it a while when I opened the door.
I just realised I had Ebony put down on October 12th 1992. Can't believe it is 14 years. Happy anniversary My sweety. No we never forget them though.
B-J - this dog just seems like a love - he truly will make a good addition to someones family.
CHA CHING BJ...You are correct BIRD LADY..haaaaa
Toupee' is a crested and Poppy is an Orange Weaver.
Love those orange weavers Ruby.
Kathy Duke sure will make someone happy. Still have to find some cats to see how he likes them. He is interested in squirrels but doesn't chase them on lead anyway. You could walk him with your pinky losse. He does have a fault though. He jumped the 4 foot fence when I was out front wit Nancy and Maureen. He didn't run to the pit bull across the street thank God; he came running to me. whew!
BJ,
I have a cage if you need it. Plenty big enough for the lab. Let me know and I'll drop it off. I wish I could help with the pup. He looks adorable!!
Lisa E.
Thanks Lisa:) I am hoping he isn't here long enough to need a bigger cage but I'll take you up on that if he is. oyeeeee He only sleeps in there. This is the first time I closed him in and only because it was still dribbling outside and I didn't want to get messed up. He already has prints on a light dress jacket I was wearing the other day. I changed before I took him out this time. hehehe He's fully housebroken so I don't have to rush to get him out. The boys all grown up in that dept; which is a big plus.
you guys are so lucky to live around each other - you will still be friends long after Vivi is found.
Yes we are Kathy. And we all will remain friends even to you online. We have projects that keep coming up to work on. Still a lot of animals out there needing help one way or another.
I went to our local small-town newspaper to see what they would charge for printing up some posters.
Wowee!! I couldn't believe the price he was going to charge me. He thought I was nuts for printing posters for a dog that was lost in NYC. Needless to say, I'm checking elsewhere. It just might take me a few days longer.
well we found some cats. Outdoor ones. A mom and her young cats down the next street. Duke was very interested in chasing them. He did pull and yank but not out of control and he sat on command. so maybe he isn't used to them. If you look at the closeup of his face on the first photo of this story, it looks likt those marks on his face may have come from a cat. Now that I see his reaction I think a cat may have swatted him. Of course he could get used to them but right now I don't know what he would do to a house cat. He loves kids. Gets really happy when he sees them. I'm going to see if I can get him on Pet Finders.
Here's a good one for B-J

That's the same story I was telling Kathleen about earlier - figure maybe she can make a deal with the lady to bring back the little chihuahua from NY.
Oops I missed that. I tend to drop in and out. That's a weird post on the Harry page- the $655 "Well Trained Family Pet"...
Hey Kathy (and all the others) - I unfortunately have decided to wait on the Chihuahua. Things just do not seem to be going right, and I feel now may not be the time to adopt another pet. I am also a little nervous about adopting another fur baby without Tinkerbell being around them first. Tink is very much the little alpha female!
Someone out there, please adopt this sweet baby. I told Gail T if he is not adopted by someone closer, I will reconsider him again. But for now, I would like to see if he can find a wonderful home closer to New York.
I just cannot justify spending so much money to get him to Memphis when there are so many babies in this area that need homes too.
This is one of the hardest decisions I have had to make in quite a while. I hope I have made the right decision. :( ...
Hello Fellow Bloggers:
First off, I would like to thank everyone that offered advice on a situation a co-worker had with his pitbull. I also appreciated the follow-up e-mails on this. The results were, the dog went to training classes with his family and they are keeping the dog. My co-worker extends much thanks for this. Now I have another problem: My elderly neighb
