Members of the Bankhead family (from left, Kodi Bankhead; her mom, Heather; and her father, Dan) are reunited with Puppers, the family dog, at the South Salt Lake Animal Shelter on June 28, in South Salt Lake, Utah. Puppers, a cocker-retriever mix, had been missing for nearly three years. Puppers disappeared from the Bankhead family's fenced yard while they were out running errands. They looked everywhere and called all the local animal shelters, but were unable to find Puppers. Out of the blue, Puppers turned up at the South Salt Lake Animal Shelter and was identified when shelter workers scanned his imbedded microchip.

Miracles do happen. What a great story to show that dogs are resilient. Vivi and our other lost pups will be found. We have to have patience and luck.
How truly wonderful. What a blessing. Keeping the faith and not giving up hope truly does bring miracles. God Bless Puppers and his loyal family.
This is GREAT Denise- thank you so much for the story- good things can happen if you don't give up and persevere!
Denise: thank you so very truly and sincerely for posting such positive stories.... the cats are just amazing and Puppers.... amazing story.....thank you for something so uplifting and encouraging. Inspires me as I send flyers and do what I can right this very minute to continually get the word out in NYC to try and help Vivi! Marnie, always keeping the faith in CA
The heat is making me crazy also. My pets stay inside and can’t play like usual for extended periods, especially at night, because it is hot and humid late even into the dark. This morning I was hurrying to water my plants in my front area and I unlocked the redwood gate to my front patio that surrounds the front of my house, but I forgot to re-lock it.
Then I let three of my dogs outside on the patio area while I got ready for work. Yes, with the gate not latched securely.
Well, you guess it……it swung open and all three dogs went out. When I called them in, fifteen minutes later, all three trotted inside, but my Doberman had to run back out the gate and bark. What a stinker; then, the big guy ran back - all are safe but only by the grace of God.
I scolded myself over and over. Thank goodness all stayed at the top of my driveway barking at the world, of course, but they stayed nevertheless.

I wanted to thank the kind people who have e-mailed me recently, those who read the blog also and don't post, with their supportive healing words. Also, I will send my visions to anyone interested. I don't know search details, of course, but I will continue the Vivi gleanings for all who are interested.
God Bless. The heat should break soon here in the Central Valley of CA. The poor animals are suffering so, and children are getting sick too, and the poorest of the forgotten elderly are dying. Please keep them in your prayers.

If you don't know how the process here works, just click on my name and my e-mail address will appear; then send me an e-mail and tell me if you are interested in my vivions and I will return your e-mail.
Of course, I don't know search details but I am happy to send on what I glean.
Best,
Thank you all for your prayers for my neighbor and fellow animal rescuer, Pat, who had a brain hemorrage yesterday.
Today the doctors said she is brain dead; there is no brain activity. She is considered legally dead and will be taken off the respirator.
So I am waiting to find out from the family what is going to happen regarding wakes, funerals, etc.
She was such a good person. I am crying as I write this. Her husband, Tony, is devastated as you can imagine. To make matters worse, Tony himself has a brain tumor he needs to see a specialist about. She was only 50 years old. She took care of a bunch of outside cats/strays and she adopted 4 cats from outside. She also had a little dog she left behind. She and I trapped cats to rehome them. I am going to take care of the outside cats now. There was no indication she had anything wrong like that. She was a person who went to the doctor regularly, but I suppose it was something she never had symptoms of.
Once again, thank you for your prayers of support,
Tara from LI
Tara I am so sorry to hear about your neighbor Pat - my prayers are with you and her family - bless you for taking over her car eof the strays - she will be helping you from above.
Tara - I am so sorry to hear this. What a sad time for the family and all of you. You are a dear for helping with the cats.
My grandfather who raised me was raised by his maternal grandparents for the same reason. His mother was in the hospital. She asked the nurse for something, and by the time the nurse returned to her room she was dead from a cerebral hemorrhage. She was in her very early 30s. This can be a silent killer indeed.
Please give my best to her family and let them know we will be praying for them.
Tara - sorry to hear about your neighbor. How sad and so young too. What stress for her husband and with his own medical concerns. I know this is stressful for you too. I will pray for comfort and strength.
I'm so sorry to hear about Kiva. We need to hold her mommie up in prayer. This is a terrible time for her. I asked God to hold Kiva close and comfort her. She is in God's hands.
Lois T: You there my fellow member of the Carpenters Wife Club??
Hi all,
Thank you so much for your kind posts! It's hard to understand when something like this happens. Why did God take such a good person so young?
With love,
Tara
Tara - Remember, there are a lot of animals at that Rainbow Bridge. Maybe God needed some help up there.
Also remember, death is not to be feared. It is a reward to those that have faith and believe in eternity (regardless of what faiths they may practice). Death and Heaven are a blessing from God. It just hurts those left behind so much.
