Vivi on the move

From search coordinator Bonnie Folz. Rick is the fiance of Vivi's co-owner, Jil Walton, and he has been in the area recently to help with the search for his step-whippet.

Vivi is now moving into my old neighborhood in Queens!

Denise

<<As Rick, scours the neighborhoods, he talks to everyone he possibly can about Vivi and her plight and the fact that she IS STILL MISSING.  One thing that many people, not hearing anything more about Vivi, think she's already been found.

It seems that when there are no legit sightings within a few days to a week, that usually means that Vivi is on the move and she sometimes moves into areas that do no have posters and flyers up.

Apparently this is the case again as we received calls this week that Vivi was in the Glendale, Queens, area on Monday morning and afternoon and sighted in Forest Hills, Queens, the later part of this week as well.

New areas, no info.

With that said, we need to step up and get the word out to the following towns: Woodhaven, Glendale, Richmond Hill, Forest Hills, Kew Gardens, Middle Village, all in Queens.

I understand some folks were contacting the various municipalities (sanitaion, police, transit, etc..) as well as businesses.  If you can do the same for these new areas, that would be a huge help.

As I look on my famous wall map of Queens (some of you may remember it from being bungied to the side of my minivan) It looks as though our Miss Vivi may be traveling back to the Flushing Meadow Park area.

Rick has talked to the folks in Forest Park and will inform us as to how we can post the info within the park.  He also feels some neighborhoods (such as Forest Hills Gardens) would be better to receive door hangers instead of posting info on poles.

Anyone that needs further info please contact me Pawsativebf@aol.com

Those that live or work in the neighborhoods listed, please tell everyone you know to keep a look out for Vivi and not to chase her.

Thanks for everyone's help.

Keep the faith.
Bonnie>>

Thanks for the positive information. I just let other people of different posts know this information was here.

It's so wonderful to read about Vivi here. I hope she's captured soon. I pray for her daily.

Glad to hear this news, and so grateful that Rick had a chance to get back for a bit. THANK YOU to every volunteer helping out -- keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers every day.

I haven't posted here in awhile because I didn't have a need to. Now I need your help.

I need all the prayers you could muster up for early tomorrow morning. We are trying something to bring Miss Vivi home so we would appreciate your thoughts and prayers for this.

Also..please pray for the rain to hold off.

Thanks
Gail CT

Gail - you and all the foot soldiers ALWAYS have my prayers but will say a few extra good ones just for you guys tomorrow morning :)

I want Vivi caught so very much. I will do a special ceremony to help keep the rain at Bay. Bring that little Whippet home.

Hi Gail-
Haven't posted in several weeks as we have had our hands full with the rehab of our little Chihuahua rescue, Max. But be certain that I've been checking in... hoping for good news.

Count me in for the prayers and best of luck with whatever you gals are planning.

The past five weeks have been tough. We almost lost little Max twice, but than God, the worst is behind us. He has gained more than a pound and a half and is literally running all over the back yard.
He will still require surgery, which the vet is holding off until he gets stronger, but other than that, he's thriving.
It was really my (our) lucky day when I was sent to do a story at that shelter, otherwise who knows what would have become of Max. He is incrdedibly loving and kind... so sweet. We love him!!!
We are five weeks into this and our older Chihuahua is much better, but we had to hire a dog trainer. Toppy, our 7-year-old was not cooperating and having none of Max, but with the help of the trainer and time- things are getting better.

I think of all of you and of course, our Vivi every day. My prayers are with you!!!

Let's light our candles tonight everyone.

I will light candles and incense and play music Vivi likes and sit with all my dog family on the patio under the stars and send prayer offerings to heaven to guide Vivi into the loving arms of the volunteers

Loretta,

How interesting that you should post! I was thinking about you and Max yesterday and wondering how he was doing. (I would have emailed you, but I couldn't remember what your screenname / email was.) Glad to hear he is coming along and things are going well!

With love,
Tara

Lots of prayers and good wishes for Vivi tommorrow,
come on lets bring her home !!!
Nice to see you posting again Gail

Prayers we can do! I will be at 8:00 Mass--our pastor is being transferred this week, but I don't think it has anything to do with his shock at seeing me at Saturday morning Masses. ;) Not too many parishes have them, sure hope our new pastor continues the practice! (I will revive the Vivi prayer Gail) Candles at 9:00, ladies.

I think this has been posted before but just in case people haven't signed it yet...

Make Sure Pets Get Home Safely
With hurricane season on us again we need to make sure that our nation’s animals will be protected before and after a disaster.
Please tell your U.S. Senators to support the PETS bill and help make sure pets are cared for before, and after, a disaster>> http://go.care2.com/e/lfS/M3/jlpe
Responding to the need for better plans to deal with animals during disasters, Congress introduced bills in both houses. The House of Representatives passed a bill that would ensure that all states take into account the needs of animals when drawing up emergency and evacuation plans, but it does not provide any funding to increase shelter capacity, or states to be reimbursed for actions taken to protect animal life.
The Senate version of the PETS bill is an important improvement over the House version. This bill acknowledges the federal government’s responsibility to provide funding to help states and localities cover the additional costs of animal shelter, care and reunion. Without federal funding, states will be unable to put into place the systems of care and recovery we know are needed to provide for the needs of families with pets. It is vital that the Senate approve legislation that would require the federal government to reimburse states for the costs of rescuing and sheltering animals and reuniting them with their human families.
Please contact your Senators and urge them to make sure the final version of the PETS Act provides funding to increase America's ability to protect animals when disaster strikes>> http://go.care2.com/e/lfS/M3/jlpe

Thanks Tara- It's been a rough five weeks but worth every minute. I'll e mail you a picture of Max.
Between Max's intensive rehab and some behavior modification for our 7-year-old Chihuahua- life has been somewhat hectic.
Things are much better and we thank God everyday for this little joy that has come into our lives.
Turns out little Max just might end up adding years to Toppy's life. Our Toppy is a big guy for a Chihuahua (was 12 pounds; now 11) and I was totally blind to his, shall we say, weight issue.
So, Toppy has been on a diet for a few weeks and he's doing pretty well. I'm sure he can't help but wonder why his life has been turned upside down.
Thanks for asking, Tara.

Good luck with whatever your plans are tomorrow Gail! I'll be saying my fair share of prayers!

Malachi 3:3
"He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver."

Creator, This period of searching has been a time of trial for all of us, who love animals; our brothers and sisters in creation. You who control the very rain and storms, send the Vivi searchers the perfect weather to find and send her home with Rick, so she can be with Jil for her birthday! Hold all three of our trio, Biggie and Sniffles, too, in your warm and protective embrace. Thank you for the healing taking place in Pam, JL, Baby Girl, and Madison. Thank you for the healing taking place in Dante,Murphy, Felice, McGee, and all animals in need of your healing power. Help Toppy in his battle with the bulge, and I would much obliged if you sent a few of Toppy's extra pounds to McGee. Bless all who participated in any way in the fundraiser last night--Help Bobbi and all rescue groups and workers let your homeless, and abandoned animals know they are loved and wanted! Refresh our fashion designer, Darlene, and let her have a terrific break--Rosa,too! Refresh and renew Kathleen, and let her know that we are thinking of her. Bring back all of the good hearted people who have left the blog, and let us all pray together tomorrow. Let the Bat Mitzvah this weekend be joyous and profound! You who bring the dead to life help all we mourn make the transition to heaven until it becomes home--especially those animals and people who make the journey this night! Bless Vivi's angels with success beyond their expectations tomorrow. Let our faith grow in abundance! We turn over the night watch tonight, knowing YOU ARE IN CHARGE! AMEN!

'Night all!
Thank you, Betty, get us started "real good" in the morning!

As usual... BEAUTIFUL, Sharon!!!!! Thank You.

Come on Vivi show yourself tomorrow and let's get your picture on the front cover of every magazine. Count me in everyone, prayers are started as I type. There is a search party going out tomorrow for our lost Pet Rescue dog Sandra up there in Connecticut so add her to all your prayers also. Thanks and good luck tomorrow, lets have a double rescue to get the ball rolling.

High hopes for everyone tomorrow and major prayers. My candles have never stopped burning and I will light more and more..... all the faith in the world that this will be Vivi's time to come home!!! Another thank you to all of you foot soldiers and folks making this happen... Vivi will come home!!! Keeping the Faith, Marnie in CA

Delta does it again!! Another lost dog that never reached its destination. It's about time the the country and world (Detla flies overseas) learns about Delta's irresponsibility and not fly or ship animals with the carrier. A good place to start would be to leave comments on the travel sites - domestice & international on Craigslist, for example advising "the world" not to fly Delta. Word will then start to get around. http://www.wtkr.com/Global/story.asp?S=5056749&nav=ZolHbyvj

Another article about dog Delta just lost which mentions Vivi too.
http://home.hamptonroads.com/stories/story.cfm?story=106575&ran=100641&tref=po

Something has to change. I sent a letter in February to Delta's CEO about Vivi pleading for help, in a business format, not angry sounding, not crackpot. In late APRIL I got a letter back. It said "we are sorry you had a problem with your luggage". It is clearly a reflection of corporate values and a matter of (not) training and that attitude is coming from the top. We have got to use these tragedies to effect some kind of change. It can't go on like this.

Just Emailed the article that mentions vivi re Delta to Bo

I'm not sticking up for Delta by any means, but something sounds very fishy with this. Why would anyone take a little puppy who they think is sick and put it on a plane? It doesn't make sense. The puppy was 3 months old - not 3 weeks old - and old enough to be weaned. The stress from the flight alone would probably be enough to kill an ailing puppy like that. The poor dog was probably recovering from the stress of the original flight!!

I'm not a breeder and I'm not an authority on dogs by any means, but is this something that a breeder would recommend? Maybe if the breeder lived within driving distance, I could see it, but thousands of miles away? I would think that anyone with any common sense whatsoever would suggest the services of a good vet over a stressful plane ride. The dog was weak, listless and not eating!! It's bad enough to fly when you're healthy let alone sick! People are idiots!!!

Lisa E.

no kidding

TESTING

My keyboard is all messed up and I could not type anythng for awhile. I had screen freeze. Has there been any news on Vivi?

No news Ruby

This is what I have learned. The web site we were directed to- to find our IP # does not tell the whole story. You have to go into YOUR computer to find that information---MaryL and I do not have the same IP # ---because they use that so send the message back to you. OK thats as far as I have gotten.....got a headache, its hot, no rain. Come on little Vivi, find a volunteer!!

I want to start by saying I find Delta Airlines
actions or lack of, to be not only appalling, but
unacceptable, Their lack of respect for any living
thing to be treated other than a piece of luggage, is down right disgusting. Until laws are past to stop such despicable things from happening, airlines such as Delta, will continue to act in such a manner as they have been allowed to get away with. Having said that, I have a question to ask of the airlines and the shipper. When I moved from CA to TX, I shipped five cats (not on Delta). All five had to have their own current certification of health from a vet in order for them to fly. This is required by all airlines. I understand from the aticle that this puppy was not eating, a clear indication something was wrong. How did Delta allow this puppy (possibly sick) to fly? Did they not receive/check the certificate of health (bad on Delta's part)? Did the shipper not provide one (bad on Delta's part)? Was there one provided by
a vet (bad on the vet's part)? We need to put a stop
to the arrogant attidues that are being demonstrated
by not only Delta, but all airlines when handling any living creature.

Meri-Lou, I think Delta will be another kapoot airline soon. I also agree the way they treat animals is appaling, worse than a piece of luggage.

I just want to comment on the shipping of puppies. I have had Australian Cattle Dogs since 1975. I have shipped and received puppies. I no longer breed or show but I can say with regret that the airlines only glance at health certificates. They are in the money making business.
As an example: My Husband purchased for me, 3 years ago, as a surprise, a female puppy from a breeder in Alabama I did not know. The puppy arrived ok, with a health certificate, but the puppy was so sick and anemic (because of hookworms) it cost me over $600.00 to get her on the right track towards good health. I personally believe that the health certificate was forged and filed a complaint with the State of Alabama (I am still waiting after 3 years and have heard nothing). Of course, the breeder disappeared from the face of the earth and I was very angry at Hubby for purchasing a puppy from this unknown.
This story of course does not excuse any airline from loosing a pet in shipment. This was not a piece of luggage, but animals are treated as baggage.
Ruby (our sick puppy) is now healthy but of course has bilateral hip dysplasia and had surgery for a patella luxation.

Thank you Sharon. I'm sure it IS a good thing.

Hey Joanne! You have a dog with the same name as me! She must be a terrific doggie. lol
Ruby

Ruby, do you have red flip flops?

And Martha, red flip flops and silver jewelry???

Martha: No red flip flops but how about red high top tennis shoes? lol

Joanne: Silver makes me all itchy.lol Send 14K gold and I'll wear it for sure!

I sure hope the volunteers and Rick found and were able to take Vivi to a safe place!

Ruby

well, can you click your heels and get back to Kansas? If your not weighed down in gold?

come on volunteers, give us some good news!
Ruby

No news yet. Everyone keep praying and keep the candles burning.

We're still praying Marty

Wanted to let you all know that Tinkerbell and I miss you very much. We are so praying for that miracle for Vivi this weekend (and Sniffles and Biggie).

Hugs from Kathleen and Tinkerbell

Kathleen, good to hear from ya.

Welcome Back Kathleen! :)

I'm praying for that same miracle!! Been checking the blog for news throughout the day. Come on Vivi!
Lois T

Thanks Lois T and Kim - I am about to get out there on my own patio with some incense and whatever and do my little "Come Home Vivi" dance. If you do not hear from me again, my neighbors probably had me committed (someone rescue Tinkerbell please)!

I have also lived at this computer today awaiting some good news! Maybe tomorrow. Goodnight everyone, and goodnight John Boy.

Welcome back Kathleen.

and he will give you the desires of your heart.
5Commit your way to the LORD;
trust in him and he will do this:
7Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him...

We will wait for you in quiet patience, O Creator. We will wait for Your time and Your power to grant our hearts desire, and bring these animals, and now little Sandra, and Apple Riley home. We entrust all of the animals we love to You. They as Francis would say are "our little brothers and sisters in creation". Hold Vivi, Biggie, and Sniffles in Your protective embrace even as we thank You for their protection so far. Please let Jil have little Vivi as a Birthday present. Let them walk together in a holiday parade. Thank you for the healing taking place in Pam, JL, Baby Girl, Madison, and Lance, and all Your people who are ill. Thank you for the healing taking place in Dante,Murphy, Felice, McGee,CJ, Mylie and Yoda and all Your animals in need of Your healing power. Let your homeless, and abandoned people and animals know Your love through! Refresh and renew all the volunteers and bloggers who have left us so they can celebrate with us when the trio returns home.Bring back all of the good hearted people of this group to pray together for our trio's return. Let the Bat Mitzvah this weekend be joyous and profound! You who raise the dead to new life, help all who mourn. Bring all of our brothers and sisters to your Kingdom in Joy!(Bless these animals- Cameo, Thunder, Jade, Nell, Noel, Cupid, Rebecca's baby, and all our animals who have made the journey to You. (I will join you in prayer around 9:00 tomorrow AM for Mass. A candle is burning at St. Mary's for all of our animals and friends, and their names have been added to our "Book of Life" to be prayed over this week.)
You get us started well tomorrow, Betty, as always!
'Night!

Good to have you back, dear friend, Kathleen.... don't worry, your Tinkerbell will be well taken care of by me.... but, the problem is, who is going to take care of my two and Tinkerbell when I get committed along with you???? We can get the group rate!!! I was doing my summer solistice, Vivi Come Home dance on the beach here a couple of nights ago....just knowing I could dance and pray and wish that girl back here to the beaches of CA!! Surprised they didn't immediately come and commit me!! And, yes, VIVI will be here soon! I just know it! We are crying for our "California Girl" to come home!!!!

Sharon, thank you so very much as always for the beautiful words, prayers and thoughts.

Kathleen, yes, "Good Night John Boy..." Very sweet! Marnie in CA

Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding. In all your ways aknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths.
Daddy God, we trust in you with all of our hearts. You are so Mighty and so Powerful. You are the all knowing and Glorious creator of all the heavens and the earth. We may not be able to see what marvelous works you are doing, but we know that you are at work. We may not have heard what wonderous deliverances you are performing right now, but we know that you are bringing it to pass. In the stillness of this beautiful morning, prepared for us by your Almighty hand we stand in the silence of the fresh beginning of this new day. We lift our eyes toward the Heavens as a child lifts his eyes to a loving Father and we realize that we do not need to lean on our own understanding, for all we need is you. It is you who will bring the rescues to pass as you use the wonderful Army of searchers to do your work on this earth. We wait patiently and intently on you, knowing that all we placed in your hands will surely and safely come to your perfect deliverance. You are the Great Deliverer. You know where all these babies are. They are tucked away safely in the shelter of your arms. And you know where each and every searcher is. They are in the palm of your hands being led by your Spirit. You, who parted the Red Sea, and raised the mountains toward the heavens, are bringing the searchers and all of our lost ones into the perfect meeting place for the joyous reunion filled with the deliverance that only you can give. We wait for you Daddy God. We are leaning and trusting in you. We will hear the good news soon. Lead the searchers Daddy God into the path of all who are waiting for them to come. Lead the lost to the searchers who are diligently enduring the journey they have traveled. They are all being brought by you to the "meeting place". Thank you Daddy God. And thank You for the tender and gentle healings that you are performing in our loved ones who need your touch. Oh how we love your touch. Flood this earth with your Glory today Daddy God. Flood this earth with your victory. Flood this earth with the very essence of who you are. We look to you and you alone...In Jesus's name we pray...Amen

Thank you all for your beautiful, calming, inspiring messages. Marnie in CA

Sharon and Betty:
Thank you for the prayers. Very much needed.

Anyone who feel like helping get the word out I can tell you neighborhoods to focus on. Or for that matter you could probably call, write, email or fax anyone in Queens and it wouldn't hurt. We are getting closer and working really well together but need more help. Whatever you are comfortable with. If you have any connections though your own job call them. Anything would help. People think she has been found way too often.

Karen, do you know what happened yesterday? What was Gail of CT referring to?
Barbara V

Nothing special that I have heard about. I am pretty sure there were no confirmed sightings yesterday. Not positive but pretty sure.

Hello? there is an awful echo in here

I'm here and check in every once in awhile but alot of my Vivi time the past few days has been spent coordinating faxing and phone calls. Lots of days I just don't have time for both. But I am checking in and it is quiet. Anyone know any traveling groomers in Queens? they'd be great for carrying those magnetic signs, Gails Idea- not mine.

Hellooooooo, hello Martha, Martha! Whats new?
Whats new! I hear you, I hear you!
Ruby

Karen:
Thats a very good idea! Groomers are all over the place!
Ruby

Plus they'd be more willing, more sympathetic. Gail has alot of good ideas but no time to implement them. That's what I try to do. If no one responds who is from Queens I'll figure it out, I always do.Thx

Karen - I found this link that might help. I believe you could click on the "Details" section to find which ones have mobile groomers as well.

http://www.findagroomer.com/groomers/Salon_and_Shop_Groomers/United_States/New_York/

Good job Kathleen. Your always such a big help.

Thanks Marty. I sure try. The WWW is such an incredible resource. And, of course, I love computers and what you can learn through computers as well.

Did you guys hear about this? Another one of Delta's mistakes!!!!

Airline can't find puppy shipped from Norfolk to Dallas

Delta Airlines lost Chesapeake resident Courtney Johnson’s 3-month-old teacup Yorkie. STEPHEN M. KATZ/THE VIRGINIAN-PILOT

CHESAPEAKE - It's one thing to lose a piece of luggage, but another to misplace a puppy.

But that's just what happened when a Chesapeake woman recently used Delta Airlines to ship her 3-month-old Yorkshire terrier puppy from Norfolk International Airport to Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.

Courtney Johnson, 26, said Friday the last time she saw her teacup Yorkie, Apple Riley, was in the crate she had lovingly filled with the puppy's blankets, chew toys, "Vicious" T-shirt and pink hoodie, for a trip to Texas last Saturday.

The dog never made it to Dallas - or Atlanta or Pittsburgh - as Delta customer service representatives initially told Johnson.

"The latest as of Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. is they told me they could not find her," said Johnson, who was not on the flight. "She was no where in the airport."

A Delta spokeswoman said what happened is a rare occurrence, but it does happen. The airline has wrapped up the investigation into Apple Riley's disappearance.

"We did notify the customer that we were not able to locate the animal, so this has moved into a claims process," said Gina Laughlin of Delta. "And we are working with the customer right now to work through the claims process."

She would not speculate on the odds of the puppy being alive.

This isn't the first time Delta lost a family pet. In March, the airline lost a champion whippet named Vivi after she broke free of her crate, newspapers reported. The dog was never recovered, and the airline settled with the sight hound's owner for $2,000 in search-related fees.

Apple Riley cost $1,500, plus $200 for shipping from Texas.

VT and enayone who wants to help-just got this from Best Freinds Animal Society about VT Shelter needs our help:

Vermont Shelter Needs Your Help Today
Dear Friends,
The Windham County Humane Society is in desperate need of your help. When
authorities contacted them about a terrible hoarding situation, of course
they stepped up to help the desperately neglected animals. However, their
kind act has stretched their resources to the breaking point. They are
currently $50,000 in debt because of the vet bills and are in danger of
having to close their doors.

You can read more about the Windham County Humane Society at the Best

We hope you can offer your support and keep these hard working champions of

A better world through kindness to animals.

This makes me ill. I've spent time in Townshend the last 5 summers and this summer we won't be going. It's a small town with the closest vet being 17 miles away in Brattleboro. Our springer travels with us that's how I know just incase I might need a vet. I wish they gave the area where this hoarding occured. Windham County Humane Society is very small and very clean and I've never even seen any animals in the runs when we were there. A debt like that will surly sink them and they are the only ones around. In all my years going there I've never even seen a stray dog only a moose walking on the roadway and a few deer in the yard.

If anyone wants to help wih this an email to the State Representative of Windham County would help. Tell him he needs to look into this and ask about getting funding for them to stay open. If he gets alot of emails he might move his butt on this. Here is his home page and a link to his email, he grew up in Brattleboro he should do something about this.
Thanks for your help.

Here is the latest update on Madison for those you asked me to continue posting about Madison. Please excuse the long posting, but the update was rather long. To see the pictures, go to this link:

http://updates.princessmadison.org/

--------------------
June 24
WOW It's been a busy week! Madison has been a little fussy the past few days so I've been spending some time away from the computer. Let's see if I can update you all without leaving anything out.

Wednesday we went to the pediatric rehabilitation doctor that will be following Madison in her journey. She was very nice and extremely affectionate kissing Madison on the head whever she had the chance. Madison has that affect on people. I digress. I was feeling really good about the visit until the doctor had to go and say what I didn't want to hear. She says "I believe in miracles and if one happens then I'll jump for joy, but don't expect one. I've seen too many of these cases and she will never be close to what she was and this will be for life." Well, I'm sorry but those are words of man and not of God. Frankly, I don't believe that. I believe she will get better. God has given me too many signs and there are too many people praying for her. The one thing I regret is not saying that I didn't believe that in front of Madison. Madison hears everything and she understands. I hope she didn't think Mommy wasn't going to bat for her. Knowing her, it probably just motivated her to come back even more just so she can say "I told you so." But, I still regret it. I didn't want to argue with the doctor so I just kept my mouth shut and refused to believe it on the inside.

Friday we went back to McAllen (1 hour drive) for the pediatric neurologist appointment. Again, the doctor was very nice. He examined Madison and witnessed some of what we think could be seizures. The doctor felt we need to get an EEG and some bloodowork so that will be done in a week or so. Thankfully, this doctor didn't say anything negative which is good because the Italian in me can only bite her tongue for so long. The syndrome that I talked about in a previous post has been ruled out by the GI doctor since Madison had the surgery to stop reflux so Thank the Lord on that one!

The day to day life has not shown many changes. She has days where she is a lot looser and days that she is very tight in her muscles. It's a roller coaster. But, she IS making strides. She holds her head better and she just looks more aware. She is in there. I knew it already but it was confirmed by a very good friend of mine who has special gifts. She is trying and determined to come back. Boy do I love that little girl! Before I go for the night, I'd like to share a few pictures. Enjoy and keep praying!

Ladies, Sharon isn't feeling well tonight, so I will be posting evening prayer for her. I hope no one is too dissapointed. Sharon will be back soon. Please begin prayer for her healing of flu symptoms while I prepare evening prayer. I love you guys..Betty Layne

Sharon -
I'm so sorry you are not feeling well. I will most definitely pray for your swift recovery from the flu.

Betty -
Thank you so much for your morning prayers and for helping Sharon out while she is ill.
Lois T

Psalm 100
Make a joyful noise unto the Lord all ye lands.
Serve the Lord with gladness; come before His presence with singing. Know ye that the Lord, He is God; it is He that has made us, and not we ourselves, we are His people and the sheep of His pasture.
Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise; be thankful unto Him and bless His name. For the Lord is good, His mercy is everlasting and His truth endureth to all generations.

Daddy God, we come to you as dear children. We ask you Daddy God to tuck us into our beds tonight and hold us in your arms as we rest in you. We ask you Daddy God to bring your gentle touch of healing to Sharon and her little McGee as they rest tonight under the shadow of your wings. Daddy God, keep your angels of Might and Power surrounding Vivi, Biggie and Sniffles. Give them rest and then wake them up to run to a rescuer in the morning. Continue your healing Grace in Dante, Murphy, Felice, Yoda, Mylie, CJ, Pam, Lance and Madison. Heal all that we have brought before your throne as they sleep in your arms this night. Let your peace reign in our homes and our hearts Daddy God as your angels stand guard over our families, our homes, and our babies you have given into our care. May we all snuggle in peaceful slumber with you, under your watchful eyes. We will awaken refreshed, healed, restored and consumed in your love. You have made us and we are yours forever. We thank you for bringing Madison's family to you in their time of struggle. It is so wonderful to her speaking words of faith. We stand together tonight Daddy God in our faith in you. We are ever reaching our hearts to you. You are our gentle shepard, our Father, our comforter, our all. We turn the night watch over to you Daddy God. YOU ARE IN CHARGE!! In Jesus's Name we pray...Amen

As Sharon would say...Candles anyone?

Sharon,I hope you feel better.
Betty, thank you for the prayer.

Thanks Kathleen we'll check that out tomorrow

My daughter's Bat Mitzvah was this weekend. She did beautifully and many of my family from Philly came up. Animals were a big part of her portion of the Torah and her speech talked about her working with animal shelters. The Rabbi and others talked about her love of animals. Vivi and the other pups were definitely on our minds. Hoping for good news very soon and I'm available to help with contacting places now that things are calming down. Always cheering on our fantastic foot soldiers. Susan

Susan -
Congratulations to your daughter on her Bat Mitzvah! She sounds like a wonderful young lady - you should be proud of her!

I would also like to congratulate your daughter. I'm glad she loves God's creatures. I went on the web to look for a Jewish Bible in English. I found one. I would like to learn more about the Jewish festivals. When you celebrate them, would you let us know and share them with us? I love to watch the program called Jewish Jewels on Pax TV station. They teach a lot about Jewish festivals. I am very interested in them. Love...Betty Layne
