Infliction of baby pix

Since I mentioned my fledgling Ridgeback litter last week, a couple of bloggers asked for photographs of the little fuzzballs. A proud grandma need not be asked twice ...

51406attention_1Sire and dam can be seen here: www.revodana.com/pages/10/index.htm. Mom is a dual champion; Dad is a Westminster winner who just took Best of Opposite at the Ridgeback national -- to his sister.

There are six bitches and four dogs. Yes, those are brown noses you see in the background. Livernoses are equally as acceptable as black noses in the breed, and inheritance is a simple recessive.

Oh my gosh, how adorable. But how do you keep up with this huge bunch! Poor Mommy having to feed all of them too. I love the livernose-colored ones.

Thanks for sharing these precious babies with us.

AWESOME!!!! They are too adorable. Congrats to the whole beautiful family.

Oh, my gosh, Denise!! Two seconds ago I sent you a personal e-mail asking about the babies, and just now logged on, and there are the babies!! Absolutely GORGEOUS!!!! You might remember me... I'm the "blogger" who has Kerry Williams' JubaLee Ridgebacks and got involved with loving Vivi because Kerry cross-posted last February to our RR site. Your babies are unbelievable!! So perfect and cute! Thank you so for putting the pictures on site! How uplifting!! LOL, Marnie and two Ridgebacks who think they are lap dogs in CA, Keeping the Faith for Vivi!!

Just put a stamp on one of those adorable little heads and mail him to me!!!!

I saw your note about the parents' pictures after I asked on the "Do I Hear Fifty" post but couldn't get the pictures on my computer. The babes are irresistable. They posed so nicely for the pictures.

Aww! What sweet little baby faces! How many are boys and how many are girls? Is this large of a litter common for Rhodesian Ridgebacks? Please fix the link to the pic of mom and dad dogs!

Thanks for sharing the pics,
Tara

That is some family!! Beautiful, each one. I just wonder how you got them all still and to look at the camera at the same time. You did a great job all around. Thank you for sharing.

Denise, they are adorable! How did you get them to sit still and look at the camera for that shot? I could use them in a counting book for story time as I'm a children's librarian and we often count to 10! Wouldn't that be fun.

Thanks for sharing!

Teresa

Such sweet babies! Thanks for sharing Denise. You've got your work cut out for you!

I wish we had smell-a-blog I could use a dose of puppy breath about now. They are adorable. Congratulations!

Awesome pictures. Thanks for sharing.

Since there are so many of us on this blog that like chocolate and wine, thought I would copy this little tidbit that I just received in an email:

Water and Wine Education

WATER..... It has been scientifically proven that if we drink 1 liter of water each day, at the
end of the year we would have absorbed more than 1 kilo of Escherichia coli bacteria found in feces.
In other words, we are consuming 2.2 pounds of... Doo Doo.

However, we do not run that risk when drinking wine (or rum, whiskey, beer or other
liquors) because alcohol has to go through a distillation process of boiling, filtering and
fermenting.

WATER = Doo Doo

WINE = HEALTH

Free yourself of Doo Doo, drink WINE!!!

It is better to drink wine and talk Doo Doo than to drink water and be full of shit.

There is no need to thank me for this valuable information, I am doing it as a public service.

Have a nice day....

That's quite a gaggle of little ones. And SOOOO cute. Kisses on each of their noses please.

I agree - I need a dose of puppy breath

The mom and dad are beautiful. No wonder the pups are simply adorable. Thanks for the pictures. Just what I needed on a dreary day.

Denise,
They are absolutely precious, brings back fond memories of their grandma Dakota. Are you keeping any yourself? If you get time, please send me some pictures.
Good luck with them all.
Donna

Hi, you have a nice blog here. Check up mine at Animal Picture Photo.

Denise -

Congratulations on the puppies!! The are absolutely beautiful! My neighbor has a Ridgeback and he is the friendliest, sweetest dog. Hugs and kisses to all the new babies!

Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him. He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought.
Jeremiah 17:7-8
Creator God, we can say with boldness that we will see Vivi, Biggie, and Sniffles returned to their "parents" because You are the God in whom we put our faith! Shepherd of the Lost, guard and protect the little trio, and all the lost and homeless, help them find safe shelter, food and water. Keep them from anyone or anything which can do them harm. Let them sleep peacefully tonight in the light of Your stars. or the softness of Your clouds, but always in the warmth of Your loving gaze. Father there are many people who are trying to help Vivi, Biggie, and Sniffles who have great challenges of their own, ovarian cancer, skin cancer, arthritis and a variety of illnesses. We pray for one another and ask you to help them--we especially ask this night for healing for Susan A. Thank You for the healing You have begun in Madison, Dante, and Murphy. Welcome into Paradise all who will end their journey with you tonight. Bring special blessings on those who work daily posting and searching for Vivi, and all those who work in animal rescue--- send your angels to help Vivi's angels!May our faith in You deepen, regardless of our faith tradition, because we have seen You in the work, and lives of others here, who love and honor You through Your animals.We pray tonight with renewed confidence because You are a mighty and great God, and we are right to trust and believe in You. We will sleep well knowing YOU ARE IN CHARGE! Amen!

Oh, if I could just smell that unbelievable fresh, sweet, puppy scent!!! Someone should bottle it.... they just have this most unbelievable "scent" when they are baby puppies.... how I love it!! And, yes, Denise, how did you ever get them to all sit up and pose for the camera!!??? Absolutely too cute for words!! They are all so unbelievably perfect! And, those gorgeous livernose babies! Gorgeous and perfect!! What a gang of babies!!!! Love them! So uplifting to see such joy! Thank you, yet once again, Denise, for all that you do!and have done and continue to do for Vivi!! (I e-mailed Kerry and told her that you had sent pictures of your new gang and how happy I was to see them!! You so made my day!! ) Keeping the Faith for Vivi, Marnie in CA

Donna: "fond memories of their grandma Dakota..." do you have Ridgbacks...???? I do... two ... they own us! Marnie in CA

Adorable little faces! What a fun thing to find today on the blog - thanks Denise!!!!

Donna: "fond memories of their grandma Dakota..." do you have Ridgbacks...???? I do... two ... they own us! Marnie in CA

Yes Marnie, I also am owned by 2 terrific Ridgebacks, it was four but I lost two last year, they had 14 wonderful years with us, one of them was Denise's pups grandma "Dakota", she was the sweetest and loving dog. God willing, I will always be owned by Ridgebacks, my first one was just about 30 years ago. I will probably make a new addition over the next few years, time will tell!! :)
How old are your guys?

Cute and adorable puppies! I like them..

Wedding Favors: The pups are almost a year old now. They must be huge! (0;
