all 2000 diets have the same ultimate basis: energy balance. a fairly inactive person uses 12 calories a day for each pound of body weight. 150 pound person uses 12 x 150=1800 calories a day. that number can be increased by physical activity.if you take in more calories than you use, you'll gain weight; and if you burn more than you use, you'll lose.
other factors may have a slight effect,but the balance determines the result.
nutrition is important,for good health, but it's calories in/calories used.
remember: the fat on your hips got there through your mouth.
