The Empire State lights a tribute to Israel

It's a festival of lights atop the Empire State Building, which will glow blue and white --the colors of the Israeli flag -- in honor of the 60th anniversary of the creation of the Jewish state.

The lighting tribute comes Friday, and on Sunday the 44th annual Salute To Israel Parade will march down Fifth Avenue. A hundred thousand participants are expected.

Here's the light schedule and the tower light history.
