Entourage 5/12: Writer Props
I was tempted to give every New York City scene and reference Writer Props this week. But then I'd be guilty of that East Coast media bias people love to talk about. And I'd be found guilty of an even greater charge of "thinking like a New Yorker."
But once the phone sex scene between Turtle Sal and Jamie-Lynn Sigler arrived, I put all that aside. Turtle using his mother's land line to talk naughty with his girl Jamie-Lynn and getting caught doing is exactly why we love "Entourage."
Well played, Mr. Ellin. Well played.

I thought the best writer prop was when E bumped into the Michael Phelps lookalie in NYC. That was classic.
That was Michael Phelps
I'm pretty sure it was Michael Phelps, and I laughed my ass off at the cameo. Great stuff.
Reminds me of the time I first saw that Adam Sandler/Drew Barrymore movie where he falls in love with her but she's getting married to that jerk. In the end Billy Idol is on the plane. I literally say, "That is the worst Billy Idol impersonation ever." Then I found out it was him!
Did they film this before the Olympics? Great fore site on there part if they did.
you guys crack me up- we true Entourge fans not only know that was really Michael Phelps, we know the behind the scenes story as to why he was in the episode- Kevin Connolly was filming the scene in Manhattan, when they found out Phelps was nearby between gigs (and, yes, this was filmed after the Olympics). The cameo was impromptu. Kevin even was interviewed about the episode and said that it was like being with one of the Beatles, because the people on the street were going so crazy for the Olympian.
Google, people... its a wonderful thing!
and i thought i was crazy...nowhere on this blog is michael phelps mentioned!! thanks for the confirmation!
I got a laugh when E was waiting for Gus Van Sant and he popped up from behind the huge flower arrangement.
