Boomer TV: Remembering Palisades Amusement Park
You know what I wish I could do this weekend? Head over the GWB to Joisey and spend a fun day at Palisades Amusement Park. Alas, ther park has been gone since the end of the summer of 1971, replaced by high-rise condos.
If you went to Palisades Park (or listened to the radio in the 1960s), then surely you know the words to their song.

I remember"Palisades Amusement Park".
I enjoyed the rides, the games and the food.
I also got the chance to meet the park's last owner
..Mr.Irving Rosenthal.
He was a sweet and caring old gentleman..the last
of the true amusement park showmen.
Mr.Rosenthal really knew how to give his customers
a real good time.
I was at the park..first in the early 1960's with my family
(they didn't like it)and I ddin't go back again..until 1970..
a year before the park closed down for good.
The second time that I was there..the day was cloudy
..but I didn't care..I got another to see the park one more
time.
I miss "Palisades"and I didn't even get a chance to
see any performers or personalties at the park..including
the park last big guest.."Officer Joe"Bolton.
