The Billy Elliot Reviews - Which Billy Is It Based On?

billyfeat200.jpg

I was hoping that I would be able to review all three Billy Elliots, rather like how many theater critics reviewed all three principal casts six years ago in their critiques of LA BOHEME. However, that's not the case. First-night critics including myself were offered a choice of attending only one of two nights, Tuesday or Wednesday. (The show opens Thursday night and the reviews will be out on Friday.) Last night, when I attended David Alvarez played Billy. From what I hear, Kiril Kulish will play the role tonight to the other first-night critics, and Trent Kowalik will play the role on opening night.
