The full Broadway cast of A TALE OF TWO CITIES has been announced. And in spite of his recent jail sentence and public scorn, James Barbour will again star as Sydney Carton. (He's the guy who does "tis a far, far better thing...") The cast also includes Gregg Edelman, Aaron Lazar and Raymond Macleod.
I listened to the score almost three years ago, and must confess that I was less than impressed. But who knows. Maybe it's improved. Its producers are obviously angling for this to be a new LES MIZ, though the 1980s adventure mega-musical musical phenomenon is long gone.
