PETA protests at DKNY

All was fashionably tame at DKNY's 20th anniversary show this morning until PETA made an appearance. Right near the end of the show, a group of protestors jumped on the runway (in front of the photographers, naturally). They carried signs that read "Donna: Dump Fur," and chanted "Shame."
The small group was pulled away from the scene by security and the show went on as planned. The audience members looked pretty surprised by the demonstration, save for Vogue's Andre Leon Talley, who didn't even blink an eye and stared expressionlessly at the models throughout the little ordeal.
"Donna Karan is a cold and soulless woman who turns her back on animals to turn a buck," PETA President Ingrid Newkirk said in a statement. "Animals killed for Donna Karan's designs either had their necks broken or were electrocuted, beaten to death, or skinned alive."
Outside, the protest continued with signs bearing dead rabbits and people dressed as the animals covered in blood. Way to ruin an Easter Bunny costume, PETA.
Oh, and if you're just into the fashions, check out the runway photos here.

I love a good fashion show, except when it has fur. Its the 21st century and its so backwards to be skinning animals alive for their fur. Seriously, fur is so trashy.
I applaud PETA for crashing donna's runway and speaking up for animals.
I agree with the protesters... DONNA DUMP FUR!
