"Sex and the City" costume designer Patricia Field isn't down with fashion designers. "I don't know labels, really," she said backstage at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week’s Star Lounge. "What's the point?"

Gasp! Fashion Week blasphemy!

Field was on hand to show off several costumes from the upcoming SATC movie, which were artfully draped over mannequins dolled up to resemble the film's main characters.

The movie is set five years after the hit HBO series left off.

Here's the breakdown of how each character's big screen style, according to Field:

Carrie Bradshaw
"Carrie was always an eclectic fashion-forward girl. I think she's still that eclectic girl."

Charlotte York Goldenblatt
"She's moving toward Jackie Kennedy."

Samantha Jones
"Five years wouldn't change Samantha. She just gets bigger and bolder."

Miranda Hobbs
Miranda looked "Park Avenue" and "waspy" in the series. "I wanted to push that a little farther."

When asked to judge her work on the film, Field gave herself "a B-plus."
