A woman uses a Swifter on the runway before the Malo show.
Well, it's happened.
Despite a great start, nearly all the shows at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week are running at least 30 minutes late. Jill Stuart pushed the envelope today to begin nearly an hour late, but I have high expectations for the wait on the ever-popular Betsey Johnson show, set to kick off in a half hour.
Even Malo, one of the smaller shows at Fashion Week, started 40 minutes late - just after two women in white booties methodically Swifter-ed the catwalk while spectators sat patiently. (And this was after the usual tarp was removed. Can't say I've ever seen that before.)
One headset-sporting woman at the show seemed to give in to the tardiness, wiling away the time by knitting a scarf.
