Ethereal, yet again

By Korin Miller, amNewYork

Erin Fetherston pal Zooey Deschanel didn't sing at the designer's show this year, but she did attract attention in her flirty, hot pink dress and flowered hair pin.

Unlike Anna Wintour, who arrived when the event was scheduled to take place (models actually hit the catwalk 40 minutes later, but who's counting?), Deschanel arrived a mere five minutes before the fun started. Perhaps her buddy status with the designer had something to do with her late, yet smart, arrival.

Many "what the heck is taking so long?!"-style text messages with a former coworker stuck in the audience later, the show was underway (yes!).

The lowdown: Fetherston continued her heavenly theme from last season with floaty, high-waisted frocks, ruffles, feathered headgear and light colors. The models sported long, flowing hair that you know must have taken hours with the straightening iron to achieve. (Kudos, hair stylists!) Lilting music rounded out the angelic vibe.

Wintour beat a hasty retreat with her small entourage in tow as soon as the lights went out, while Deschanel followed close behind. The Vogue editrix managed to escape unharmed, while Deschanel was taken hostage by an elderly fan.

Anything for the fans, right?
