Celebrities + Hordes of People = ....
It was chaos. Complete and utter chaos at Bryant Park before the masses were let in to view Gwen Stefani's L.A.M.B. line.
"What about this is appealing?!" a security guard shouted at all of us as we all waved our invites in hopes of moving forward. "I'd rather sit at home alone in my closet and get drunk," he added. Um, OK.
After finally relocating beyond the velvet rope, a man to my right exclaimed, "would you look at that line?!" You would have thought the staff was giving out free cases of Cristal from the sheer number of people straining to get inside.
But we were all there for a good reason: Stefani's show was by far the most celebrity-packed of the season. At least so far.
In the front row: P. Diddy bounced his head along with the pounding music next to Stefani's hubby Gavin Rossdale, who bounced their son, Kingston (kitted out with baby-sized ear muffs and a pacificer), on his lap. Garbage singer Shirley Manson, who declared herself a "fashion show virgin" (her words, not mine), was further down. "Who better to lose your virginity to than Gwen Stefani?" she said.
Eve, Carrie Underwood and Sofia Bush were also there and completely mobbed by the media.
After the rousing, rock-inspired show, Gwen herself strutted out and scooped up her son (who reached out for his mama as soon as he saw her), before heading backstage again.
What a sweet escape.

That must be one hell of a closet! Is he trapped in there with R. Kelly?
